How do I make a Romantic Essential Oil Blend in my Diffuser?
To make a fresh and romantic essential oil blend in your diffuser, follow these steps:
- Choose Romantic Essential Oils: Select oils known for their romantic properties, such as Ylang Ylang, Rose, Jasmine, Sandalwood, or Lavender. Start with my romantic essential oil diffuser blend recipes below. They all contain one or more aphrodisiac essential oil.
- Prepare Your Diffuser: Fill your diffuser with water up to the recommended max level.
- Add the Oils: Add a few drops of your chosen essential oils to the water.
- Adjust the Strength: Depending on the size of the room and your preference for aroma strength, adjust the number of drops. Usually, 5-7 drops in total are sufficient for a standard-sized room.
- Turn On the Diffuser: Place the diffuser in your desired room, turn it on, and enjoy the romantic atmosphere created by the aroma.
Remember, any blend is customizable based on your scent preferences and the mood you want to create.
10 Diffuser Blend Recipes for Love & Romance
As an avid lover of essential oils and natural wellness, of course I use essential oils to support romance.
To help you do the same, I’ve gone to town and used a bunch of aphrodisiac essential oils to create unique romantic blends.
These blends are created for a standard 150-200 mL diffuser. If your unit holds more water (some mid-size or larger diffusers can hold up to 500 mL of water in a full tank), please adjust the recipe accordingly. As in, multiply the number of drops used. This will ensure you still get to enjoy the most powerful aroma and scent with the amount of water you have in your diffuser.
To make your diffuser recipe, simply fill your diffuser to the max line with water, and add the essential oils.
Also, always make sure to use high-quality, pure essential oils.

Can these blends be used in body butters?
Emma Carter
Yes, that would be a lovely use for the blends! You’d have to do some math to get the correct number of drops though, depending on how many oz. of body butter you plan to use. You can get started with my free guide for dilution rates here.
