Eden’s Garden is one of the leading companies that sell essential oils today. They hold a consistent spot on my list of best essential oil brands.
While there are a lot of essential oil sellers these days, only a few brands consistently impress. Edens Garden is one of those companies.
They offer a wide range of quality essential oils in their online shop or on Amazon.com. You can also get much needed aromatherapy accessories, gift sets and carrier oils.
If you’re reading as many EG reviews as you can find: I hope you find my article useful, unbiased and comprehensive. You’ll see that I personally use these oils, and put them through rigorous testing before recommending them to you.
What’s The Best Thing About Edens Garden Oils?
Pros | Cons |

About the Company
It is very important to know who you’re buying your essential oils from.
To this day, Edens Garden is a family-owned, women-led company.
Edens Garden started back in the early 2000’s when Grace, Edens Gardens’ CEO, was on a trip in New Zealand.
She learned to use the aroma of essential oils to bring about a sense of relaxation. It related to her experience of the pure and untouched countryside there.
So Grace set out to create something that would allow her to share the wonders of essential oils with everyone. Today, Edens Garden has blossomed into an established, respected brand that sells various types of essential oils.
Edens Garden Essential Oils Quality
All oils sold by Edens Garden are 100% pure, therapeutic grade. This means that they don’t contain any pesticides, herbicides or other harmful ingredients.
Edens Garden essential oils are also not stretched with bases, carriers or additives of any kind. This makes them pure oils and allows their benefits to flourish to the fullest.
GC/MS Testing
Edens Garden essential oils go to a 3rd party lab for independent GC/MS testing.
This is an important step for an essential oil brand to ensure their oils’ quality.
GC/MS reports detect adulteration in essential oils. Passing this test shows that Edens Garden oils are indeed unadulterated, free of synthetics, and entirely pure.
For every single essential oil, you can download these reports directly from their website. This is amazing for quality assurance!
Quality Assurance
At Edens Garden essential oils, the commitment to essential oil quality also shows in these 5 cornerstone values:
- E – Effective: All Edens Garden oils are 100% pure therapeutic grade. Thus, they stand for their effectiveness in aromatherapy applications.
- D – Dedicated: Edens Garden is a dedicated “customer first” company. They are always here to answer your questions through customer support.
- E – Educated: Certified aromatherapists contribute to the EG blog and newsletter. This means you can keep learning about the many benefits of essential oils from a trusted source.
- N – Natural: This part of the quality promise stands for unadulterated oils that are 100% pure and free of synthetics. If you’d like, you can request their oil test results and see for yourself.
- S – Safe: Edens Garden oils get GC/MS tested in a 3rd party lab. As an essential oils company, EG handles their products with great care.
Ethical, Sustainable Sourcing
Edens Garden partners with farms and distilleries that agree to follow their ethical code and high standards for quality and sustainability.
The company focuses on building strong, mutually beneficial relationships with their sourcing partners.
This is great news since after all, these partnerships are the backbone of any essential oil company.
- Edens Garden partners with passionate experts.
- They support farms who put people first.
- They ensure utmost quality through rigorous testing.
Bottling and Labeling
Proper bottling and labeling of essential oils is crucial for maintaining their quality and ensuring safe usage.
- EG essential oils are bottled in dark, amber-colored glass containers to protect them from light, which can degrade their potency.
- The bottles are tightly sealed with a cap that prevents air and moisture from entering, as these elements can alter the oil’s composition over time.
Edens Garden goes above and beyond in labeling their essential oils with so much useful information!
- Oil labels include the common and botanical name of the essential oil, the extraction method, and even tips on what it blends well with.
- Additionally, their labels provide safety information, such as whether the oil is safe for kids, during pregnancy, or other precautions you should take.
I love how much info is provided on these labels. It really helps me trust Edens Garden as a brand.
Can I Ingest Edens Garden Oils?
The internal use of Edens Garden essential oils is not recommended. On Edens Garden’s blog, their lead aromatherapist explains why in a lot of detail. EG’s official statement is to not use their oils without consulting with an experienced aromatherapist.
Because essential oils are highly concentrated substances, there are dangers when they come into direct contact with your vital organs such as the mouth, tongue or stomach. Oils will attach to the mucous membrane which lines these organs, and cause potential harm.
I support this opinion as well. The FDA does not regulate the essential oils industry. This leaves oil companies to their own merit in terms of what can and cannot be advertised in this regard. At the end of the day, ingesting essential oils remains a controversial topic that requires diligent research.
Pricing
Edens Garden oils are super fairly priced. They are very much comparable to other popular essential oil companies in terms of what they charge for oils.
Oil | Edens Garden | Plant Therapy | REVIVE |
Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) | $11.95 * | $8.99 * | $9 * |
Bergamot (Citrus bergamia) | $11.95 * | $10.99 * | $11 * |
Clary Sage (Salvia sclarea) | $12.95 * | $10.99 * | $11 * |
* Prices at time of writing and subject to change without notice.
The only exception here, of course, are the MLM companies (Young Living and doTERRA). MLM stands for Multi Level Marketing, and these companies are in a much higher price range because of the increased costs of marketing their products.
If you’re interested in the exact differences between a direct-to-consumer company such as EG and the MLM companies, you’ll enjoy my comparison of Young Living vs. Edens Garden.
Edens Garden Oils Collection
Edens Garden has a lot to offer when it comes to their essential oils collection and products. They sell a great variety of essential oils, carrier oils, accessories and gift packs. Often, you can find a discount or bonus to go along with your purchase. My personal favorites are the gift sets because they offer such an exclusive value. Plus, they just look so pretty when they arrive in the mail!
At Edens Garden, you can buy both single essential oils and essential oil synergies. The synergies are pre-blended mixes of essential oils that serve a particular purpose. For example, fighting germs or lifting the spirits.
In aromatherapy, the blending of essential oils is a very coveted art that has many moving parts to take into consideration. When someone creates a good blend that works well and is pleasing to the nose, it’s time to celebrate! If you don’t want to mix on your own, choose ready-made blends to get started on your aromatherapy journey.
Essential Oils
Edens Garden offers a whopping collection of over 150 essential oils. And they are adding more blends and coming up with new varieties all the time! This makes their product line-up one of the biggest essential oil collections available.
Their oils come in bottles of 5 mL up to 30 mL with a wide range of scents to choose from. You can buy single aroma oils, or a variety of blends as well.
The price point of these essential oils ranges from $6 up to around $45, depending on the kind and amount of the essential oil. This is a very fair and reasonable price range, and allows most customers to try essential oils without breaking the bank.
Essential Oil Blends
Essential oils have a multiplied effect of benefits when combined. Essential oils blends are ready-made to serve a particular purpose.
At the Edens Garden essential oil company, you can choose from 80+ different blends. Blends range from Fatigue Fix or Worry Less to Muscle Relief or Anxiety Ease.
My personal favorites are Bliss essential oil blend, Fighting Five (their alternative to Young Living Thieves®), and Stop Cramps Period.
OK for Kids™ Essential Oils
Edens Garden offers 18 synergy blends that are OK for kids. Two experts have worked together to create this line-up: aromatherapist Sylla Sheppard-Hanger, and essential oil chemist Dr. Robert Pappas. They have kept both safety and aromatherapeutic benefits in mind during their work.
Edens Garden’s OK for kids blends have fun labels, and fun names such as Focus Focus Focus, or Study Buddy. This way, getting your mini ones started with essential oils is both easy and fun!
A few other essential oil companies (such as Plant Therapy or REVIVE) have kid safe essential oil lines. However, Edens Garden’s kids blends line-up is one of the most diverse and comprehensive.
Seasonal Blends
If you are looking for something fun & new, have a look at Edens Garden’s seasonal blends.
They always feature popular fall scents such as Spiced Chai or Autumn Air; and fabulous holiday aromas such as Candy Cane Lane or Winter Wonderland.
Carrier Oils
Edens Garden also sells carrier oils, which you need to dilute the single oils before putting them on your skin.
You’ll be able to choose from 34 different carrier oils. The collection includes avocado, hemp seed, macadamia, camellia seed, sweet almond and more. The price range of these base oils range from around $14 to $24, depending on the kind of carrier oil.
Roll-Ons
Essential oil roll-ons are a convenient way to apply essential oils. They are a 10 ml roller bottle that you can keep in your purse, backpack, or pocket.
The rollers are pre-diluted and ready to use. They’re so handy to have ready anytime you need your oils!
It’s a perfect gift for essential oil beginners or kids. And even seasoned essential oil lovers prefer rollers sometimes.
If you like, you can also make your own roll-on with this easy tutorial here.
Gifts and Sets
Edens Gardens’ essential oil sets come packaged in super pretty boxes, which makes them perfect as gifts. The essential oil kits include a brochure, which helps guide you (or your giftee) in using the oils properly.
There are variety of sets that suit your needs, from De-Stress to a simple Best of the Best.
The sets are quite a bargain price for what you’re getting! Most sets come in options of a 3-set or 6-set, sometimes 12 or 24 oils. This offers great options for smaller or larger purchases. So even if you just need to re-stock your EO library, have a look at these beauties!
Build Your Own Set
If none of the EG starter sets are exactly what you’re looking for, you can build your own set of essential oils. Perhaps you’re looking for a specific combo of essential oils that you’re missing in your collection? Or you want to gift somebody a set that is hand chosen for their specific needs?
Whatever your reason for building your own kit, you can make a custom set of 3, 6, 12, or 24 essential oils. Pricing is $28.95 (for the set of 3), $56.95 (for the set of 6), $111.95 (for the set of 12), and $219.95 (for the set of 24 oils).
From my personal experience, I can tell you that this is a really fun way to shop!
You can also create your own set of roll-ons.
Diffusers
At Edens Garden, you can also shop for aromatherapy diffusers. Diffusers disperse tiny droplets of essential oils into the air around you. Breathing in the scented mist lets you enjoy the therapeutic benefits of essential oils.
Diffusers make a neat accessory to any modern home decor. Edens Gardens’ line-up of diffusers is stylish and of high quality. It’s not your basic run of the mill diffuser! The units are made with ceramic glass covers and high-quality plastic interiors.
A stylish diffuser also makes a unique gift for that essential oil lover in your family. For example, the all-natural reed diffuser is a perfectly thoughtful gift or accessory – and easy to travel with, too.
Natural Essential Oil Soaps
Edens Garden sells beautiful artisan made bar soap, using 100% pure essential oils as an ingredient. These natural bar soaps combine the benefits of aromatherapy with flawless cleansing. EG’s natural soap is free of toxic fragrances and synthetic chemicals.
If you’re not familiar with Edens Garden’s Fighting Five blend, it’s EG’s alternative to Young Living “Thieves”. It is a very popular blend due to its germ-fighting abilities. It comes as no surprise, then, that Edens Garden also offers a natural soap of Fighting Five. This is a perfect hand soap choice for fall ad winter months, the dreaded cold and flu season. I personally use it and love knowing that I have extra germ-fighting power on my hands simply by using this type of hand soap.
Natural Perfumes
If you like to wear the beautiful scents of essential oils as a perfume, you can also opt for Edens Gardens’ natural perfumes. These fragrances are made at a 20% concentration of essential oils. At that, they still carry aromatherapy benefits, but aren’t necessarily as potent as their single oil counterparts.
Natural perfumes are free of synthetic & toxic fragrances. They are still made using 100% pure essential oils. You are not spraying yourself in anything harmful while using a natural perfume.
Customer Experience
Edens Garden has built a strong foundation of trust and safety among its customers. At the core of their company values lies serving the customer’s needs. This explains their growth due to a positive reputation and positive customer experiences.

Loyalty Rewards Program
At Edens Garden, the minute you sign up for an online account on their website, you are eligible to earn rewards points. Their rewards points are called “aroma notes”, and you’ll earn 1 note (or “point”) per $1 spent to begin with. This is the entry-level membership. After 5,000 points earned, you’ll start receiving 2 notes per $1 spent.
You can redeem your points on any of your future orders. They also never expire so you don’t have to feel rushed to use them up.
There is a scale of how much Edens Garden Points are worth:

I’ve been using Eden Gardens for over a year, and am very impressed.I do order them from Amazon, and have not had a problem, they always are delivered super early.I’m on a tight budget, and the prices are in my range.I have ordered some of the blends and I do put some drops in a carrier oil in a roller bottle, they still smell so good, and still work.I love Eden Gardens and if they ever change,I’d be so disappointed.
Michelle
I use Eden Gardens also.
Fritsy24
Hi. Just a quick question, have you ever tried EO’s from Spark Naturals?? I use their “Relief” blend for migraines and it’s amazing!
Carol Carrier
My daughter bought me a starter set which smells and looks amazing. But I didn’t receive a booklet to help me get started. Is there any way I can get a hard copy?
Thank you
Ella
I was taught in aromatherapy(not the full certification, only the basics as part of my massage therapy training) that while we may not tell anyone to ingest the oils, unless they are a doctor or have an aromatherapy license, that they can be safely ingested. To do this, though, they must be diluted. Oils do not mix with water, water will not dilute them!
Here are two of the ways you can dilute Essential Oils to ingest them:
1) Gelatin Capsules – Size 00 capsules are filled with 20% essential oil(s) diluted in vegetable oil and poured into the capsules. Each capsule holds approximately 0.75 mL.
2)Honey – Essential oils can be blended with honey water. Mix 1-2 drops essential oil into 1 tsp. honey, add warm water, and drink.
I use the honey method. I suggest you talk to a naturopath or an aromatherapist before you do ingest,
but if you choose to, please dilute them for your own safety! Again, be aware of how they react with
medications or other supplements you are taking!!
Linda
Love the honey method idea. I will have to try it!

So it’s been a long time since I had a bad review to give, but I am so upset I feel the need to voice this. I ordered a custom set of essential oils from Edens garden oils. I got them in the mail and was surprised to see one oil that was not what I ordered. It was called energy boost ,if you look in my oils all of them are a relaxing oil and then there’s just one random energy boost thrown in there. What I had ordered was there thieves blend and have no idea how the energy boost was put into the order. When I was emailed back I was told they were willing to send me the right oil and asked if I could send them a photo of the oils that I had received this is the photo I sent them. I then received an email stating that the order was correct. I I explained to them that in fact it was not correct I had never chosen that oil and would never because I suffer from anxiety disorder. I stay away from any stimulating OILS like that. The lady politely argued with me about how I “did” order this oil! See the funny thing she doesn’t realize is that it took me forever to find the thieves oil because it is named something else on their site so I read through each oil until I found it making sure to select it. I even read down the list before I hit it to go to my cart. It was so aggravating that she basically was telling me that I was lieing to her. She told me i could return the oil but the fact is its would cost more to send the oil back the to just order the thieves oil and just have it shipped. I would have been happy to purchase the thieves oil if she would have been polite! But instead she sounded accusing and politely rude. To tell you the honest truth but oils aren’t even all that great there not blended well but I was willing to give them a try! Now with the way I was treated,I guess this company doesn’t believe the customer is always right or even the customer could be right. I personally wouldn’t risk doing business with this company just in case you ever have a problem. I don’t feel that they would be willing to help you without being rude. I will keep buying Piping rock oils
Sandi G
I received a leaking bottle of oil from E.G. once I sent a email, with in a week I had my bottle replaced at no cost, and didn’t have to send the other bottle back. They were great. Love E.G essential oils!
Wendy
Does Edens Garden have a Seed to Seal process and guarantee? And where does she get her oils from? Does she own the farms/land that the plants, flowers, trees are farmed on and does she distill in her own quality controlled distilleries? And why in the world does she ‘rotate’ oils every two weeks? If the oils were truly 100% pure, organic therapeutic grade they would NOT need to be rotated to ensure “freshness” – pure oils (such as Young Living Essential Oils) never expire and have no additives to extend their freshness because they are as PURE and fresh as they can be straight from the Seed to the Seal in the bottle
Melissa
Couldn’t agree with you more on that!
Young living eo are the only oils with the SEED TO SEAL GURANTEE and is safe to ingest because its 100% pure. FDA approved. There’s a reason why these oils are inexpensive you’re a fraction of the pure eo itself. Filled with synthetics, fillers… I got a Eden’s eo pack for sleep support years back and let me tell you I got skin irritations, massive headaches while diffusing, I DID NOT not feel comfortable using them.
With young living I got none of that, ingest it everyday, my kids as well, use it topically everyday and I’ve never felt so good about my wellness, The support you have is tremendous, groups, classes and inspiring webinar.
They care about the health and well being. That’s why with The seed to seal guarantee we consumers are protected, from the moment that seed is planted to the packaging they oversee every aspect again and again. It’s been life changing for my family and I, I was able to provide a safe healthy home from my children free of toxic chemicals and it didn’t even budge the bank because instead of spending money on soaps, candles, detergent, medicine, makeup, supplement, house cleaner I spend it with Young living that have amazing wholesale prices, essential reward program that gives me free oils every month, a gift on 3,6,9 months & money back!! Its fantastic and I’ve been signing up all my loved ones and guiding them to achieve WELLNESS.
Gail
I researched a bit before ordering essential oils for my home. I have had 30 + hrs of aromatherapy education and have a fairly good nose.
I chose Edens garden . My opinion is based on the oil quality. My first oil to diffuse was their french lavender. Wow. Top notch quality. Smelled exactly how it was supposed to, and soothed and relaxed just as it was intended to. Next up was the anxiety ease blend . Diffuses this to help my anxiety ridden hubby sleep. Again, the oil smelled as it should have , and worked as it should have.
Edens gets a big thumbs up from our house??
The order shipped fairly prompt considering I ordered during the busy holiday time. It arrived in an envelope though..so packaging for shipping – not so good. Fortunately nothing was broken but it sure could’ve ! Whew!
Hope this helps anyone trying to decide between companies. Edens quality is there, and the prices are fair. Now if they could just talk to their shipping dept….
Chiane
My packaging was the kit boxes that you make your own kits. :) it was pretty!
Terri
What I meant to ask is, what if you have a cold and sore muscles and headache and skin problems and… How many different oils can a person use concurrently, or is it best to tackle one thing at a time?
Terri
I’ve been using Edens Garden oils for a couple of months now and love the product and the company. My previous usage was mostly for fragrance in homemade Goat milk soaps. The prices charged by multilevel marketing companies are prohibitive, to say the least. my question is, how many oils can you reasonably use at one time?
Kristen Dressler
I have a couple of different brands of oils and I think Edens Garden oils are the most reasonably priced for the quality. I use them for a variety of things from homemade cleaning solutions, diffusing and to promote health. Love them!
Emma
Dear friends! I’ve repeatedly gotten the question as to whether or not you can ingest Eden’s Garden essential oils. As I am in no way certified to make any recommendations or suggestions in that regard, I did contact their customer service desk and am posting below their answer for your consideration. Please remember that any decision you make is yours alone and depends on many other factors in your life and well-being. I do hope you find this information helpful!
### From Edens’ Garden Customer Service Representative ###
Hi Emma,
Thank you for your inquiry.
We take great pride in offering the highest quality available. All our oils are 100% pure therapeutic grade oils. They are accepted to be used by naturopaths, aromatherapists and natural practitioners. We have chosen to not add any bases, carriers, parafins, additives, etc to any of our oils. No pesticides, synthetic chemicals, herbicides, gmos, harmful chemicals or natural fertilizers are ever used during any stage of the growing or distillation process. All USDA food/product safety guidelines are strictly followed by our suppliers. This is very important to us and something we do not compromise on.
The internal use question is one we get quite often. Because many people use essential oils for self-medication, we have to be very careful with the freedom given people in this respect. We do not know what medications, quantities and allergies people may have. We put “for external use” on our labeling for our own liability. This is very common practice in the US and many other companies that sell therapeutic grade oils, also put this on their labeling. Essential oils are highly concentrated and have the capacity to cause serious damage if used internally without the necessary expertise required in administering it. This is supported by the International Federation of Aromatherapists that does not recommend ingestion of essential oils unless under the supervision of a Medical Doctor who is also qualified in clinical aromatherapy.
Due to this purity we don’t recommend using essential oils internally. The mucous membranes (the skin inside our cheek, for example) is much thinner than the skin on the outside of our body, which allows for more rapid ingestion of essential oils. The risk of adverse reactions increases when used in this way, especially if the essential oil has strong safety concerns. Physical contact of the concentrated essential oils on the mucous membranes can cause immediate irritation, or if used long-term, burns, scarring, ulcers, or even liver or kidney damage. Further, the health of the person, any medications they are taking, and other factors come into play that could cause more serious adverse reactions.
That being said, many of our loyal customers use our oils internally since they are the highest quality available, but we leave this up to the customer.
We hope this information helped you, please let us know if you have further questions or comments.
In health and happiness,
Sara

Renee
Which is why I put a few drops in a capsule with a carrier oil. I have a book “Surviving when Modern Medicine Fails” and there are many remedies that are called for putting a certain number of drops in a capsule and ingesting. As long is the oil is pure, it’s fine.
Linda
thank you for this very informational caution about taking EOs internally. I was told about Eden’s Garden by a friend and am anxious to try them. I would also like to caution anyone considering taking EOs internally to be careful. I bought a very high quality Oregano oil from one of the very reputable companies, this one is labeled as safe for ingestion. I love it and use it for nail fungus, which has worked better than anything I’ve tried.
However, I began mixing it with water and using it as a mouth was in hopes it would cure some oral and tooth problems I was having. I mixed it too strong and although it didn’t burn, I ended up with ulcers all along the bottom side where I was concentrating it on, and a very tender mouth. I also tried drinking a little of it for overall health and ended up with bad reflux.
So I learned from my mistakes and will only ingest oils under a physician’s care. If you do use them, dilute them with a carrier oil first.
But other than that using essential oils has been the best decision I have made. I now safely use them mixed with carrier oils on my skin, by inhaling, and vaporizers. I also LOVE using them for cleaning and disinfecting my bathroom and kitchen. So instead of having the toxic fumes of bleach (which I can’t entirely give up my bleach), my home smells clean and health.
Thank you!
Tuyen
Hi Edens garden. I just bought the Fenugreek oil 100% (trigonella foenum-graecum) from you for breast enhance massage. Please advise this is ok?
Stephanie
I have a friend of mine who loves EG products. The pricing concerns me. Other companies price’s are so more expensive where EG products aren’t. How do I know if I have a good product? I’m taking an aromatherpy class and the Teacher stated that she cannot tell anyone to ingest an oil unless you are a doctor or someone with an aromatherpy license. This is so they cannot get sued as some oils affect people differently.
Kristina
The pricing is less than others as I’ve read because they don’t say you can ingest so they don’t have to pay a very high insurance policy in doing so and charge their customers an arm and leg to get the same quality as those that claim you can take orally.
This is why I love EG oils. Same quality , less $ for customers wanting a quality product. Smart move on their part
ariane
Kristina! Thank you so much for this answer, I’ve been looking up and down as to why edens garden is cheaper. I have been religiously purchasing from them based on the price, customer service, and authenticity they claim to have but I always wonder if I’m getting 100% pure oils. Thank you!
kristin
Can you ingest eden garden essential oils? Also how dobyou think they compare to doterra essential oils?
Janna
Hi Kristin. EG doesn’t promote ingesting oils unless working with a qualified practitioner. That makes sence because their are varitable such as medication that they unaware of for each individual as well as sensitivities that are unknown.
I do ingest small amounts of some of their oils and have found them to be as effective or more so than other brands including doterra. I love EG oils for more tgan the price which is outstanding. It’s the quality that i am amazed at every day. I use an EO serum for bites and sores that my dermatologist told me this week to keep using because its working better than anything my Drs. have given me in 2 yrs. The brand I use is Edens Garden. I make a tea concentrate with added water and grapefruit EO that restores and refreshes me from being out in the TX heat. It’s the EG Grapefruit oil that helps me bounce back in record time.
Dina Mabe
I am curious, can Eden’s Garden Oils be taken internally?
thanks,
dina
Emma
Hi Dina, I personally don’t take any oils internally, so I really can’t say. I wrote an email to Edens’ Garden customer service though as I’m curious, too. I will update you again here as soon as I hear back! ** UPDATE ** Please see comment below!
Lynn
I asked the same question to Eden’s Garden and they told me that they do not promote that capability but many of their users ingest the oils and are quite satisfied with the results. So short answer yes. You can ask questions on the amazon product listing and they will respond.
Allen
Edens Garden is the only company I order from, I started using their oils a little over a year ago, while researching other companies and I even have a friend that’s a “distributor” for one of those other companies, what really sealed me not going with the other companies was I had a not so nice smelling Lavender from EG and I notified them, within 2 days I had a new bottle of the slightly more expensive French Lavender and no request to send the other bottle back or to pay for shipping or for the new bottle. I use their oils in my organic skin care business also and all my customers love them. I recommend their oils to everyone and I even try to get my friend that sells for the other companies to leave them and use EG’s but to no avail.

That’s great Allen, thanks for sharing! Yes I agree Edens Garden’s product warranty is great!

I want to use essential oils but do not want to get involved with companies that promote “spiritual” changes/effects due to using oils. I want them for what they do…..not for what New Age philosophies (enlightenment, grounding, balancing, dream catching…) are being pushed.
As far as I can tell, Eden’s Garden does not seem to push the spiritual effects…..am I correct?
Thank you.
Emma
Hi Leah.
I totally understand your concern. I do think that Eden’s Garden as a company has a pretty neutral stand on using oils spiritually, yes. I’ve been ordering from them for over a year now and have never gotten an impression that they’re pushing anything else except that they sell an essential oil product. What you do and how you use the oils after they’re in your home, and in which sort-of home remedies you like to apply the oils, that’s totally your choice.
However, it does look like their founder (Grace) does have some roots in Christianity as you can read in her story in the “About Us” page here (http://www.edensgarden.com/pages/about-us). As a company, they also believe in giving back 10% of all profits to a “variety of organizations that are doing their part to help build a better tomorrow”, which I think is a thing that Christians do (tithing), and you can read about it here: https://www.edensgarden.com/pages/giving-back). Whether that’s a problem for you ethically or not, that’s totally up to you! :)
Hope this helps!

Even of the company is promoting those things if u don’t believe in them I don’t think it makes a difference.. but that’s my opinion, and they may have been using and making the EO forever and that’s how they feel and their outlook, I personally want a quality EO for its heathful benefits, but if their product is good quality and something that u want I would definitely buy it and do my own thing, YL is Great but EG is wonderful too.

It’s not ‘new age’.
It’s quite ancient.
Connecting with Mother Earth can be quite spiritual. We are all ONE. It’s all Energy, Light and Love. ☮️

I just want to say I started using EOs about a month ago. I use Edens Gardens Oils and love them. A friend was using another company and tried some I had and said she loved them. I would recommend Edens Garden to everyone. Wonderful customer service and quality product
Emma
Thanks Sherri, I’m glad to hear it!
Colleen
Love Edens Garden products!!! I stumbled across them on Amazon while looking for a more reasonable priced essential oil (compared to another much more expensive company I was buying from). I’m hooked on their products. The prices are great, the quality is awesome! Shipping times are very reasonable. They have proven that you can buy quality oils at a reasonable price. I love their Head Ease synergy blend, it is so effective. I will forever be a loyal customer to Edens Garden. :)
Emma
Hi Colleen, I’m really happy to hear that you’re using oils effectively in your life! I’ts always so great to hear other people’s success stories. Thanks so much for sharing this with us!

Regarding Edens Garden Oils, I have been using mostly Edens Garden oils when purchasing. I noticed their rating is not quite as high as other 3 comparisons, yet you rate them #3. What is the rating based on? I have had family and friends tell me they think Edens Garden oils are not as potent or high of quality as some other oils they have tried. Whether they are basing their opinion on price or comparison I’m not sure. I also noticed you only have chosen the 4 suppliers to compare. I have in the past purchased Rocky Mountain Oils, Heritage Oils, Now Oils as well as some others. Have you had the opportunity to check on these other suppliers of Oils? Would appreciate your response. Thank you, Carol Clements
Emma
Thank you so much for writing Carol! I actually picked Edens Garden as my personal winner for the best essential oil company. The sequence in which the companies are listed do not mean their “ranking” from my perspective. So Edens Garden, for me, has also been what I mostly purchase. I do know that some people have hesitation because of the price, though I personally have not had issues with their quality, effect, or customer service. So for me, they’re still rockstars and I can recommend them. I do have other brands of essential oils in my medicine cabinet also, but Rocky Mountain, Heritage or Now Oils are not among them, which is why a review for them is lacking. I will purchase some of their products now too though and add the review to my list and comparison chart. Thank you for bringing them up! :)

I Love EG’ essential oils, as well!! I do not care for the overpriced, overrated others… So glad I found them!

You did not say anything about ingesting these oils. Are they only for topical and aromatic use. Also, you do not say how they are grown or made. I am interested but need much more info. I have used Doterra oils for 2 1/2 years, how is the comparison between the two?
Denise Moller
EXTREMELY comparable with DT for quality. The company is very careful and hesitant about ingestion and neat application, believing that the former should only be done under the guidance of a certified aromatherapist, and that the latter is dangerous due to the inherent saturation levels.
I started with YL, moved to DT, found EG and honestly could not be any happier.
The significant price difference comes from the direct-to-customer sales, and NOT from a different level of quality (something that many MLM companies claim).
Joy
Please google and research Eden’s Garden as I did. You will be amazed to find they are as pure as doTerra, far less expensive, faster FREE delivery, and huge selection. I was a doTerra consultant and switched to EG. Love their service as well.
Ange
Are these oils food grade? I think it’s a bunch of crap that ingestion should be under the guidance of an aromatherapist. Your competitors are extremely overpriced but encourage internal use as needed and stand behind their products…
Simeon Schneiss
I use ginger and peppermint and lemon internally.
Shelby
I am also interested ingesting certain oils, like citrus oils. You can ingest YL oils how is EG different? I have both and will have to buy more YL if I can’t ingest EO.
Meghan Pfister
Eden’s Garden is very hesitant to recommend ingesting. They will always tell you that you ought to talk to an aromatherapist about this. They are covering their bases in doing so. Any company selling oils should do the same. There are people who do ingest EG’s oils from reviews I’ve read. But like I said, you should always talk to an aromatherapist. I personally use EG and Rocky Mountain EOs. I prefer EG though. Their shipping is fast, their product is excellent and effective, customer service is great, and they are way less expensive than all the other companies that sell oils.

I agree! I just made my first purchase with doterra after getting roped into a sales pitch masquerading as an info session. It was a lemon essential oil I purchased for my Mom who was told by the rep repeatedly that it would be safe to drink mixed into water (meant to replace the naturally squeezed lemon water that was hurting her sensitive teeth when she drank it). Thankfully after receiving the oil I did some research before handing it over to my Mom – finding out you should NOT ingest citrus oils, and furthermore mixing the oils with water does not mix them at all due to the fact that duh, oil and water DONT mix, so you end up getting a rush of essential oils into your mouth in either those first few sips or the last (depending on whether you’re using a straw or not), which can potentially burn your lips and throat! Lo and behold I peeled back the label and it says right on the bottle (and later I discover also says on the website) NOT to ingest this lemon oil. What a fun waste of money that was!
I so appreciate this and several other reviews steering me to Eden’s Garden, which sounds like it rises to every occasion where doterra fails, and I will definitely be ordering from them soon! :)

I just want to say it’s great to see so many people into oils. I use YL because they are NATERAL/ORGANIC. It takes 5,000 pounds of rose petals to make one pound of rose oil, this is why these oils are more expensive, but they are more concentrated using a couple drops compaired to several drops. Gary Young is open to let you visit his farms at any time across the country to show he has nothing to hide and how much work goes into distilling the oils. I recommended watching Jen O’ Sullivan’s videos on YouTube who had researched over 20 years all companies. I get my order of granola, vitamins, bars, and oils from the site. What do other companies offer? I get money back in my account to put toward oils fir my orders and free oils sent along with great information. I was a skeptic with oils, but they have proven to work. I diffuse all the time , but I choose YL the organic oils. I make hand soaps and desiderata, rook one ect. Do your research and see what you think . I know I posted already , they label the oils you can ingest, I’m still alive! lol I use the veggie capsules to put oils in and take them as I would a vitamin to help with digestive issues. I can’t say enough about them.
Frances Magriz
An aromatherapist will tell you that no one should be advised to ingest EO. EO’s are very potent. You get the same benefit from applying it to your skin, vitaflex and inhaling from the bottle or diffuser. I personally would stay away from any company who tells me to ingest it but that is just me.
Melanie
I do YL oils and love them! I ingest a lot of them because they are 100% pure not labeled pure because law allows them to with a percentage of chemicals they are truly pure! You can go visit the farms to see the distilling of Gary Youngs oils , he has nothing to hide. They sued a company for labeling ” pure” but they aren’t. I’ve done slot of research but everyone likes what they do I’m just telling you I invest a lot. Make my own mouth wash, use for toothaches, use citrus in WATER ( don’t burn, but all oils they ask u use carrier oils and watch for reactions. Donas you wish but I’m a fan of YL
Holly
Its funny that People on here are saying “do your research”. Yet they support YL. The owner of this company has been a crook going back many years even before YL. Used to scam people into thinking he was healing them.
Tiffany
I, personally, didn’t care for these. I was anxious to try them. I had used other top competitor brands and only needed 4-6 drops in my diffuser of a peppermint or lavender oil and the aroma would fill up my home. I used 4-6 drops of edens garden oils and I could barely smell it. I reached out to Edens Garden and they recommended 20-25 drops of oil in the diffuser. If it were truly “pure” there’s absolutely no way you would need that many drops. Also, tried these out when we did get sick and they just were not effective for us. It was worth a shot though.
Jenny
Tiffany, I just found out that it has to do with the orifice dropper. It’s going to look like Young Living is less drops because the orifice on the bottle is larger. So it makes sense. I had been wondering that too until someone pointed that out to me!
Shari Henderson
I wanted to love EG oils but had the same results as Tiffany in her comments above. It is not the size of the orifice dropper; these oils are not nearly as potent as Original Swiss Aromatics, Florihana, or Nature’s Gift – all of which I’ve used in the past. The oils from these companies are genuine, authentic, and unadulterated. The owners have all been around a long time and know their stuff. Marge at Natures Gift is especially concerned about the safe use of essential oils.
My other concern is no batch number on the bottles. What am I really buying? How old is the oil? How has it been stored? Why such low prices on so many of the oils? Why sell on Amazon – how does Amazon store these bottles? (Light and heat are death sentences to the potency of EOs).
I ended up throwing away all my EG oils. They were pretty much useless as far as any therapeutic benefits. Once you use quality oils there is no comparison with mediocre ones. Grace may be a wonderful person, and has a very appealing marketable website, but the oils are lacking.
Sandi G
I used e.g. Oils and made diy Theives, it was great. I put it in my diffuser every day, love it.
