A Note About Blending
Blending essential oils is a whole art and science on its own. Most notably, the sequence in which you blend your oils will make a difference in how that blend smells and performs.
Please follow the sequence of how the oils are listed in the recipe. If lemon essential oil is mentioned first, start with that oil. Then add the number of drops of the next oil on the list, and so on.
Once you have the basics down, it’s easy for anyone – even beginners – to create their own custom scents that are perfect for them. No matter what kind of lifestyle or personality you have, there is a blend out there that will be perfect for you!

How to Use Essential Oil Blends for Relaxation
I love to use essential oils in different ways to help me unwind. Sometimes, you don’t want the actual scent of the oils on you like perfume. And sometimes, you do!
That’s why it’s neat to know a few different ways in which you can benefit from the therapeutic benefits of a relaxing essential oil blend.
- Put a few drops in your essential oil diffuser for 30 minutes before bedtime
- Use a diffuser bracelet, wear it all day
- Make essential oil candles and use them when you need to unwind
- Create a DIY reed diffuser and place in a small area such as your bathroom or home office
- Spritz into the air using a homemade aromatherapy spray
- Mix 2-3 drops in a teaspoon of carrier oil and apply anywhere on your body
- Make a massage oil for stress relief, get your partner to rub your shoulders
